About DM Training

Dill Maggs & Co Ltd was established in 1987, which trades under the name DM Training & Consultancy. Its main purpose was as a consultancy to BP Oil working out of Dundee. This then developed into training both on and off shore. DM Training & Consultancy has 30 years experience in the industrial, petrochemical, oil, gas and nuclear industries working with major contractors, local authorities, training agencies, charities and local companies in the United Kingdom.

We have a 27 acre site that encompasses many types of terrain for all forms of plant and machinery. DM Training & Consultancy is well qualified to provide you with all of your training and consultancy needs through the following accredited awarding bodies:

  • CPCS - Construction Plant Competence Scheme 
  • RTITB - Road Transport Industrial Training Board
  • NPORS - National Plant Operators Registration Scheme including Instructor Training & Testing
  • CAA - Construction Awards Alliance for all QCF(NVQ) and Apprenticeships


Plant Operator Courses 

As a fully accredited training provider and QCF(NVQ) assessment centre, we are able to offer a comprehensive range of training courses on a wide variety of construction and industrial plant, material handling and various equipment operations. All courses and tests conform to the standards of the relevant awarding bodies and fulfil the Employers obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act and HSE requirements.

All our instructors have industries experience and are fully qualified, holding A1(D32/33), IOSH Managing Safely, Level 4 in Teaching, undertaken CRB checks and are all registered to the relevant accredited awarding bodies. We also have qualified internal quality control verifers V1(D34). Our company undergo mandatory quality controlled visits from all our awarding bodies. Therefore abide by all of their policies and standards.
